The word “Trug” derives from the word Trough and was originally used for measuring grain volume, hence the variation of sizes. As scales became the means of measurement, the trug was then adapted as an invaluable gardening tool. Experiment with “Trug’s” and you will soon begin to wonder how you ever managed without them.
