Help NZ Bats – Install a Bat Box
Installing a bat roost box in your backyard or on your property is a great way to demonstrate your comitment to New Zealand bat conservation.
Homes for bats are in short supply, their populations are declining around the world partly due to dissapearing habitat.
In many urban areas and with changes in argriculture, many trees are being removed (including the older trees containing cavity's and hollows. This is leaving fewer places for cavity dwelling spieces such as New Zealands long and short tailed bats to breed and rest in safety. Creative Woodcraft's artificial roost boxes can be attached to trees, buildings or pole mounted in suitable locations, creating a safe and dry refuge in which to roost during the day.
Our bat roosting boxes have been specially designed to provide a simulated natural cavity providing protection for both spieces of New Zealand Bats
