A-Frame Wild Bird feeder

The compact bird feeder offers flexibility of placement. Works well on its own or as a companion feeder to encourage birds to move in closer to other larger feeding stations.

Designed to accommodate a good variety of food. It’s a good size and weight to hang from smaller tree limbs and branches.

The easy to fill powder coated cage can be used for a variety of foods such as apples, bananas, kiwi fruit, oranges and suet cakes.

Siting

A quiet location with a good view from the house is normally the best place. This allows you to enjoy observing the garden birds while they feed with little disturbance.

Choose a site sheltered from extremes of weather, but where the birds have a good all-round view, so they can see that they are safe from predators while they feed.

Sow Creative Woodcraft’s wildflower seed mix nearby to help encourage birds, bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.

Feeding

Add fruit, kitchen scraps to the cage or add a high-energy suet cake. Encouraging our smaller native birds such as the Silvereye, Waxeye or Bell bird.

Maintenance

The feeder is made from quality timber sourced from locally, sustainably managed forest plantations. Non-toxic water based stains and sealants are used wherever possible in the manufacturing of our products. This bird feeder can be re-stained periodically to maintain its appearance.
