The song thrush is a joy to listen to and observe in the garden.
The song thrush nests two to five times a year from midwinter to midsummer. Young song thrushes tend to follow their parents for several weeks after leaving the nest.
By providing several open-fronted or universal style nesting boxes thrushes may choose to nest in these especially in more urban areas.
The young thrushes will soon become regular visitors to the bird bath where they will drink and enjoy bathing (a joy to watch).
Encouraging the thrush by providing suitable habitat and water will greatly assist the gardener as the garden snail are a thrushes favorite food.
